Defending the Opposition’s Deep C-Shape Exit Kick
When the opposition opts for a deep defensive C-Shape exit kick down the line, we must counter by:
- Positioning our Key Forward/Ruck at J3, aligning with the expected C-Shape kick zone.
- Creating a 3v1 advantage at J3/C-Shape to contest and regain possession.
- Executing a defensive spoil to bring the ball to ground, setting up a ground ball contest.
- Utilizing the 3v1 shape with a scramble handball process to clear congestion and transition forward.
